The Brief…

Based in Manchester, Matillion is a well-established data integration business that is looking to position its Data Productivity Cloud as a leader in its industry.

To build brand awareness, the team collated market insights, completed a PESTLE and, identified key competitors in the market from the Gartner Magic Quadrant, envisioned a user and managerial persona, and interviewed Matillion’s wider team to understand their customer base. After completing this process, the team noticed that everything led back to the importance of data, which created the ‘World Without Data’ campaign.

Imagine an apocalyptic world where markets crash, technology buffers, and algorithms believe it’s opposite day. Causing a nuisance for users and businesses around the world, however, one green building stands tall: Matillion’s office. By creating a memorable campaign, Matillion could cement itself as a leader amongst its competitors.

After the film’s release, Matillion could introduce an omnichannel approach by advertising on billboards and displaying adverts online, and emailing users to address the importance of data and Matillion’s Data Productivity Cloud.
